All you know about Madoff is a lie. All that money is overseas sitting in an account waiting for the big guys that Madoff worked for and that are protecting him from the IRS.

All Theory's aside, I think he just screwed everyone without regard and he would be safer in Jail. Well, maybe he won't be safe there either. "fingers crossed"

Our society is quick to punish drug dealers and petty thieves. Once it's faced with a man responsible for wiping out thousands of people's livelihood it will at the most convict with a less than 10 year sentence. Which will be lessened with good behaviour.
This guy will serve three years in a low security country club, then write a book or two about the affair. We'll be watching the made for TV movie before Obama is out of office.
