Ethics has no place in the Empire of Debt. The financialized Status Quo is careful to limit the language used to describe the situation in Greece to the subtexts of "obligations" and "avoiding chaos."

I think student loans will be the next big bubble in the US. Corporations have moved and continue to move manufacturing jobs overseas to where we have almost 13 million unemployed. Now corporations are saying they can not find educated or trained workers.
Through out history large corporations, the banks, and the news media have worked together to manipulate THE PEOPLE and maximize profits. I wonder how this will play out. It seems that no matter how hard one works or how much education one gets, the money just keeps trickling up. Reminds me of the American Dream to move to the West and buy a homestead.

A often overlooked reality of economics in this country is that capital will always exploit labor...always. If we want a free economy this is all there is to it. The problem you are addressing points at a different structural problem. I think we should look at the cost of education and the personal liability taken on in order to repay it as an almost penalizing factor in citizens of this country looking to start a career.
The sad truth is that in order for US labor to be competitive on a global market we need to lower wages to be more in line with other countries. If we don't, the symptom you've described will continue.
